Are you a person who had always wondered how you remember so much trivia and facets about Hindi Cinema? 
Well,  then the  time has arrived for you to prove the rest of the world how good you are in your passion and knowledge about Bollywood or Hindi Cinema.  In celebration of “100 Years of Indian Cinema”, the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is proud to announce a “Quiz on Bollywood” (Hindi Cinema) on the 12th October 2013 (Saturday) at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, Capsquare, Jalan Munshi Abdullah, Kuala Lumpur.   Experienced Quiz Master Phanindra Ivatury would be hosting the event once again.

The Quiz contest is open to individuals of any age group who can participate as a team of two – male or female.  The Qualifying Round for the Final will be held on the same day between 4.00 pm to 4.20 pm and would be in the form of a Questionnaire consisting of twenty questions on Bollywood Cinema to be answered in twenty minutes.  The top six teams from the Qualifying Round would contest in the Grand Finale to be held between 6.30 and 8.30 pm.

            Phanindra Ivatury has a Master’s Degree in Public Personnel Management and Kulapati K.M.Munshi Medal Winner in Public Relations.  Quizzing is a hobby he had cultivated in 2002 and has so far conducted over 200 Quiz Prorgrammes for various MNCs, Government and Non-Government Organisations, social groups and corporate giants like ICICI Bank, Axis Bank etc. in India. 

More recently, he had hosted a series of high level Quiz Programmes for the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, High Commission of India starting with the “India Quiz” in December 2012 which was covered by the Astro Vaanavil TV Channel of Malaysia.  In February 2013, he was the Quiz Master for the Corporate Quiz jointly hosted by the High Commission of India/Mahindra Satyam Global Solutions Centre at Cyberjaya.  24 premium IT Companies, MNCs and Indian Organisations participated in the event.  The event was a big success and received wide coverage in all leading English and Tamil Newspapers in Malaysia.  A capsule of the event was also telecast by Astro Vaanavil Channel. In May 2013, he hosted a “Quiz on Indian Women”.  The uniqueness of this Quiz was all the questions posed and topics covered in the Quiz were totally on Indian Women and all the contestants were also women.  The event was highlighted widely by the Print media.  His latest event “Quiz on Indian Independence Movement” conducted as a part of the Indian Independence Day celebrations in August, 2013 was a major success both in terms of participation and coverage.  26 teams contested for a place in the Grand Finale.  The event was covered in all leading Tamil and English Newspapers as well as in the electronic media.

Mr.Phanindra had won many Quiz Competitions himself and is also the winner of ICICI Crystal Trophy for being the finalist among 70 corporate teams in ICICI Quizzical 2010 conducted in Hyderabad, India.  He was also the winner of the Special Quiz on Kapil Dev conducted by Doordarshan, Hyderabad.
