DESCRIPTION:High Commissioner H.E B.N.Reddy interacted with a 23-member delegation from #Odisha comprising academics and researchers visiting Malaysia as part of Bharat Culture Tour of South East Asia 2023. The delegation also met other members from Malaysia Odia Association\, Oriya Association of Malaysia\, Malaysia-India Heritage Society\, GOPIO Malaysia and Netaji Welfare Foundation at an special “Meet and Greet” Session held at NSCBICC. \n\n\n\nOdisha academicians were led by Mr.Kamalesh Dash\, RastriyaSamparkaPramukh\, AkhilaBharatiyaItihasaSankalanaYojana. Discussions centred on the age-old connect between ancient Kalinga and SE Asia\, including in Malaysia\, and ways to reinforce cross cultural linkages between Odisha and Malaysia.Presence of over 5000 Odiya-speaking Malaysian Indian community serves as a living linkage of this connect. Counsellor Amrita Dash also interacted with the delegation to deepen their engagement with Malaysian Indian community organisations.
