Bio-profile of the artists
She holds a Bachelor of Dance with Honours (Performance) majoring in contemporary dance, after completing her Diploma in Dance where she won the Best Dance Graduate Award 2010. Her talent and drive have made her a versatile dancer. She has been involved in various traditional and contemporary dance productions as well as musical theatre including festivals in the Philippines, Washington D.C., Hong Kong and many more. In 2010, she won the Best Female Dancer at the Short+Sweet Festival by Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre. She performed in White Bat by Danceworks in Istana Budaya and completed her Bharatanatyam Arangetram on 9 March 2013.
MOHD YUNUS ISMAIL
Mohd Yunus comes from Batu Pahat, Johor. Among his numerous achievements are completing his Arangetram in March 2011 under the guidance of the Temple of Fine Arts, winning the BOH Cameronian Arts Award for Most Promising Artist 2009 and participating in the reality show, “So You Think You Can Dance?” by 8tv in 2008. He has a wealth of international experience, performing in China, USA, India, Thailand, Australia and much more. Locally, he has performed in musicals PGL, P. Ramlee as well as innumerable other performances including the Bharata Natyam production by Mystic Creations entitled An Adoration of...Ganga in 2011 and The Legend: The Journey Begins with Maya Dance Theatre in Singapore. In 2010, he participated in the Kennedy Arts Centre exchange program in New York and Philadelphia.
NORBAIZURA BTE ADUL GHANI
Norbaizura Abd Ghani born in Kuala Lumpur in 1986, she completed her Diploma in Dance in 2007, and Bachelor of Dance (Performance) in 2010 in ASWARA. She has performed in and outside the country including Thailand, China, Indonesia, Australia, England, Hong Kong and Singapore. On 2 March 2011, Baizura performed her Arangetram in Bharatanatyam, becoming the first Malay woman in Malaysia’s history to do so. This is a huge achievement for someone who started dancing at the age of 18! She has performed in musicals PGL, Tunku the Musical as well as innumerable other performances including the Bharata Natyam production by Mystic Creations entitled An Adoration of...Ganga in 2011 and The Legend: The Journey Begins with Maya Dance Theatre in Singapore.
